An annual gala, celebrating the benefits of bringing together society's youngest and oldest members, is being held this weekend.
The nonprofit Bessie's Hope is sponsoring its' annual Bridge of Love Gala, including a dinner, dancing and auction, on Thursday, June 8 at the Marriott DTC. Presenting sponsors are Sue and Rich Jones and The Denver Post.
Recipients of the 2017 Community Angel Award will be presented.
The organization brings area youth together with nursing home elders, 60 percent of
whom have no personal visitors, ato foster mutually rewarding relationships.
