1.) Please describe your leadership style in three words.

Participative- People Oriented- Goal Driven.

2.) Describe the skills and experience that make you the best candidate for the job.

I’ve spent the last 8 years on council, which means I can take over the position as Mayor- with ease and knowledge of the past, present, and future goals of the city. I am a team player who shares ideas and knowledge with others. All members must work together and contribute to the decision-making process. I am self-motivated and determined to succeed. I am at ease meeting with surrounding metro leaders in order to work collaboratively. Above all, I am dedicated and committed to the City of Northglenn and its residents.

3.) Please list your top three priorities if elected.

1. Maintaining safe and modern infrastructure as it is vital to the health and economy of our community. 2. Continuous revitalization of our shopping areas as our sales tax collection enables future capital improvements to the city. 3. Strive to provide safe and attractive neighborhoods for families by increasing the number of patrol officers available.

4.) How do you see Northglenn best taking advantage of the economic boom in Metropolitan Denver?

Being listed as one of the hottest housing markets in the metro area provides the opportunity for households and businesses to both look to Northglenn as an attractive area to invest. Typically, commercial development follows residential growth and our convenient interstate access makes us a desirable location. I am confident that businesses will note our position and we will see positive interest in locating to Northglenn. Our city leaders and staff must present our strengths so we can capitalize on the expected economic growth coming to Adams County.

5.) What is the city’s role in encouraging the development of quality housing that is available for affordable costs?

While this issue is not a priority for me as I believe we offer a substantial amount of affordable housing for a city our size (seven sq. miles), I believe affordable housing can happen with a combination of strategies and funding sources. Through zoning and developer partnerships, a city can provide a vision for a housing project that offers multiple levels of affordability. The city has discussed this type of housing for the future development at Karl’s Farm Dairy and at the Northglenn Marketplace.
