Good Shepherd names music director

Experienced church musician Mark Boykins has been named the director of music at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church in Northglenn.

Boykins was director of music at Peoples Presbyterian Church in Denver for 12 years. As a keyboardist, Boykins is the staff accompanist at Westminster High School, has performed with the Spirituals Project and will be a featured soloist with the Denver Pops Orchestra this coming season.

Boykins led music services Sept. 30 and will lead the music service Oct. 7 before beginning full-time Oct. 21, said the Rev. Bill Davis of Good Shepherd.

Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church is a member of Denver Presbytery, and the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Located at Melody and Kennedy drives, behind the Northglenn Marketplace, Good Shepherd celebrated its 50th anniversary as a congregation in 2017. Good Shepherd worships at 10 a.m. Sundays.
