Gurss has been a member of Future Business Leaders of America, SOAR Honors Program, Congressman Ed Perlmutter's Youth Advisory Council and was president of DECA his junior and senior years. He plans to study finance with a focus on information systems at the University of Colorado-Denver.

What profession or career do you want to pursue? Why?

I will be using this (finance) degree to help pursue my goal of becoming a CEO of a company one day.

What do you hope to accomplish in life?

I know that I want to run a company one day. However, there are aspects of life that I want to be as successful and decorated in than just my professional career. When life is set and done I want to be known for being a good husband, father, brother and friend.

Without having a good balance and respect in all those areas of life, it would make my professional career meaningless.

If I could do anything, it would be ...

To play the Augusta National Golf Course (home of the Master's tournament).

This golf course is such a prestigious venue that has so much history with tremendous moments behind it, it would be an honor and privilege to play this course.

I know I would probably score one of the worst rounds of my life, but by the time it was over, it would be completely worth it.

Spending time and playing at this course would be a dream come true!
