Knitting down the bunny trail

Volunteers make beanies for baby ‘bunnies’

Posted

On April 14, Parker Adventist Hospital’s volunteer knitting group, the Needle Arts Guild, passed out handmade crochet bunny hats, crochet baby buntings and cozy pastel blankets to families of infants at the hospital in the Birth Place as well as the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

The guild was established in 2005 and since then has put in nearly 50,000 hours of service. Last year alone, members created 1,600 handmade items for Parker Adventist Hospital patients.
