I am new to the Denver area and discovered the church in February of this year. I learned early on that there were plans to close the church at some point. I felt then that it seemed unnecessary and unjust to close the church. I feel the same way now after learning a lot more about the church.
I am told it has been around a long time. It uses few church resources.
One mass a week is nothing and eliminating it saves next to nothing. The church is well liked by its parishioners and well attended. Its puzzling to me why anyone would want to close the church.
I think more people should hear about this through future articles.
