This year’s The Jefferson County Fair rodeo Aug. 11 featured regional talent in the events of bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, open-team roping, mixed-team 
roping, breakaway roping, tie-down calf roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing and bull riding. The Jeffco rodeo was voted Colorado Professional Rodeo Association Small Purse Rodeo of the Year for 2011 and 2012. The fair, which ran Aug. 9-12, also included 4-H activities and competitions, dance, musical performances, food and numerous other activities.
