Boys swimming: Brighton takes EMAC crown

AURORA -- Adrien Ambrosio of Brighton High School captured two Eastern Metro Athletic Conference swimming championships June 17 as the Bulldogs won the conference title at Hinkley High School.

Ambrosio won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:14.56. He also won the 500- freestyle in a time of 6:09.05.

Jespyn Bishop broke a three-year-old record in the 50- freestyle. He won the league title in the 50- freestyle in a time of 21.69 seconds.

Two of BHS' relay teams also won conference crowns.  The 200- medley relay team (Trey Wilson, Arron Hedglin, Robert Jorstad and Bishop) finished in a time of 1:45.98. The 400- freestyle relay team of Jorstad,, Vahn Williams, Wilson and Bishop) posted a time of 3:36.72.
