Three area teams are among the 36 schools that earned spots in this weekend's class 5A regional volleyball playoffs.

Legacy earned the 23rd seed and joins Fountain Fort Carson at Chaparral High School. Horizon's first match (against FFC) should start around 5 p.m.

Horizon High School has the 34th seed. The Hawks play the host Wolves at 9 a.m. Heritage High School also is in the tourney.

Westminster has the 36th seed. The Wolves faces the host Cherry Creek Bruins at 9 a.m., thken take on Chatfield around 10:30 a.m. .

The team that wins two matches at regionals advances to the state tournament next week,.
