Staff report
The Governor’s Residence Preservation Fund’s 2022 holiday ornament is now available.
The 14th in the collectable holiday ornament series, the 2022 ornament is inspired by the 1914 Steinway grand piano that today sits in the drawing room at the Governor’s Residence at the Boettcher Mansion, 400 E. Eighth Ave. in Denver’s Capitol Hill neighborhood.
Renowned musicians including John Denver and Liberace have played this piano. It was donated to the state of Colorado in 2001.
The ornament costs $35 plus shipping. Proceeds from ornament sales benefit the Governor’s Residence Preservation Fund, which is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization established in 2008 to ensure the ongoing preservation and use of the Governor’s Residence at the Boettcher Mansion.
