Celebrity Livestock Show to benefit youth education
The Adams County Fair will feature a new event, the Celebrity Livestock Show.
The show allows elected officials, fair sponsors and others to participate in the fair by working with a 4-H youth program member to exhibit a livestock animal.
Celebrities will work with 4-H members who exhibit sheep. The 4-H member will give their celebrity partners a short lesson on exhibiting the animals, and then the celebrities will be asked to exhibit in the show ring.
Celebrity contestants will judged by the same rules as the 4-Hers. Those 4-H members whose celebrity partners place first through fifth will receive scholarship awards that will be deposited in an interest-earning account until the 4-Her enters a post-high school education program.

4-H Fashion Revue to display talents of designers, models
The Adams County 4-H Fashion Revue will showcase the modeling and fashion design talents of participating 4-H members during the Adams County Fair's first pre-fair event.
The revue will take place Wednesday, July 25, in the Waymire (Dome) Building, and 4-Hers will model the outfits they made. The public will have a chance to decorate their duds, and participate in leathercraft and heritage-arts projects.
The morning session, known as Beautiful You Day, is a chance for participants to get comfortable modeling on a stage and get ready for the evening show, which will start at 6:15 p.m.
Judges will evaluate the modeling, the fit of the garment and the use of accessories by participants.
The evening will conclude with an awards presentation to recognize the top models and special-award winners, including most creative, most original and judges' choice. The two grand champion senior models will represent Adams County at the State 4-H Fashion Revue in Pueblo on Saturday, Aug. 18.
