Richard Jacoby, former athletic director at Bennett High School, is the new athletic director at Fort Lupton High School.
Jacoby earned his bachelor's degree in agriculture education from Colorado State University in 2000 and spent 19 years teaching agriculture education. He's also spent time as an advisor for Future Farmers of America, which included mentoring, counseling and "often parenting the students in what Jacoby calls 'his kids,'" according to a press statement.
Jacoby has also coached football, wrestling, baseball, basketball and track. His passion for sports led him to Bennett High School as its athletic director the past three years.
When he's not working, Jacoby enjoys the outdoors (fishing and hiking), doing home improvements, raising aniumals and "coaching youth sports athletes to reach their maximum potential," said a statement.
