COLORADO SPRINGS -- Holy Family got the game-winning goal from Gianna Sandoval with 12 seconds left to give the Tigers a 2-1 win over Evergreen in the finals of the state 4A girls soccer tournament June 26.

Sandoval scored Holy Family's other goal in the first half of the title game.

It capped off quite a week for the Tigers, who entered the state tournament as the 12th seed. They beat top-seeded Northridge 1-0 June 23 at Frederick High School. Jaelen Giron scored the only goal in the 62nd minute. Goalkeeper Olivia Dietrich recorded the shutout win and had six saves.
