Good Old Girls club?
I’m sorry that Sen Winter decided that people being upset about how the Westminster City Council decided to fill their empty seats somehow means that we are “upset with women in power.”
I don’t object to Emerge training women to run for office. I don’t care if they promote their program on social media.
What I care about is the way that members used this connection to influence Westminster politics, the claim Winter made about the Rotary Club and the Historical Society.
At that meeting, I could tell the vote on the vacant seat was pre-decided by at least two of the members and was insulting for them to pretend otherwise.
If the Good Old Boys Club is replaced by the Good Old Girls Club then we are not progressing, we are merely hypocrites.
And calling people sexist when your tactics are challenged is very telling about your mission.
