Westminster police arrested 25-year-old Serena Ayesha Ahmad on suspicion of second-degree murder after an incident that occurred Feb. 28, a department press release said.

At around 12:30 a.m., two roommates in an apartment at 3400 112th Circle had a dispute about additional guests in the home. One of the roommates asked everyone to leave and when they didn't, Ahmad allegedly retrieved a handgun. She allegedly fired one round and struck a male, killing him.

The Adams County Coroner's office hasn't released the identity of the deceased male yet.
