McCormack for DA

As a former District attorney for the 17th Judicial District, Adams and Broomfield Counties, I am supporting Republican Tim McCormack for DA, even though I was elected three times as a Democrat, and I want to tell you why.

I hired Tim in 1999, mentored him, tried a complex murder case with him, and have followed his career since I left the office in 2005. I know Tim to be a man of integrity, energy, and commitment who combines the best attributes of a skilled prosecutor and deft administrator. He is attuned to the times and understands the benefits of diverting minor offenders out of the system and providing treatment to those who will accept it.

I have watched as the office I once led with pride has been embroiled in scandal and deteriorated under the mismanagement of the current administration. Attorneys and support staff have left in droves and respect has been lost among law enforcement and court personnel. It is past time for a change and I just don't believe meaningful change can come from within.

In my opinion, Tim McCormack is the best person to restore integrity, dignity, and accountability to the office of the District Attorney of the 17th Judicial District. VOTE, it's important. Thanx for listening.

Robert S Grant, Thornton
