The state meet host site, Veteran's Memorial Aquatic Center, is an Adams 12 facility, and the district will be closed Monday, March 15, because of the snow.
According to an email from CHSAA assistant commissioner Justin Saylor to participating schools, diving begins at 7:30 a.m. The first race, the 200-yard medley relay, starts at 10:15 a.m.
"Our schedule will have the meet finished at around 5:30 p.m., so we can get people back on the road and home on Tuesday evening," the email said.
CHSAA also announced changes to the balance of the state boys and girls basketball schedules. Games in the Great 8 have to be played either March 15 or March 16. Dates for the semifinals and finals were changed, too. The semifinals are Thursday, March 18, and the finals for 1A boys and girls, 4A boys and girls and 5A girls will be Sunday, March 21.
"The amount of travel between sites dictates that the semifinal date be changed to allow for teams to travel. And a change in the dates for the state championships is needed," said a tweet from CHSAA assistant commissioner Bert Borgmann.
The Saturday, March 19, title schedule (2A boys and girls, 3A boys and girls and 5A boys) remains in place.
