Eight area high-school wrestlers earned rankings in the latest On the Mat Magazine compilation for class 3A wrestlers.
They are: Brayden Bach, Holy Family (No. 2 at 106 pounds), Gabve Archuleta, skyview (No. 10 at 106 pounds), Lorenzo Avila, Holy Family (No. 12 at 113 pounds), Ezra Herrera, Skyview (No. 5 at 120 pounds), Matthew McCarthy, Holy Family (No. 7 at 126 pounds), Isaac Ibarra, Skyview (No. 4 at 138 pounds), Camden Austin, Holy Family (No. 8 at 195 pounds), and Abram Moore, Holy Family (No. 4 at 220 pounds).
In class 4A, the list includes Riverdale Ridge's Mikey Medina (No. 6 at 106 pounds), AJ Hague, Riverdale Ridge (No. 3 at 113 pounds), Javen Villareal, Riverdale Ridge (No. 14, 120 pounds) and Dominic Cerda, Riverdale Ridge (No. 11 at 138 pounds).
In class 5A, the list includes Northglenn's Anthony Rodriguez (No. 10 at 106 pounds), Thornton's Chris Moreno (No. 13 at 126 pounds), Kyle Lewis of Mountain Range (No. 7 at 132 pounds), Horizon's Julian Marquez (No. 11 at 138 pounds), Legacy's Blake Swearingen (No. 12 at 152 pounds), Zack Zuniga of Thornton (No. 2 at 160 pounds), Legacy's Quinn Funk (No. 8 at 160 pounds), Legacy's Ryan Bynarowicz (No. 10 at 170 pounds) and Gavin Funk of Legacy (No. 2 at 195 pounds).
