Community Reach Center will sponsor its first annual Reach for Recovery 5K Run, Walk and Expo on Saturday, June 1, a benefit for the National Alliance of Mental Illness of Adams County and Community Reach Center.

“We know that exercise and getting outdoors regularly are two important factors in building resiliency to support mental wellness and recovery,” CEO Rick Doucet said. “We are excited to launch a new event that is open to everyone in the community and combines exercise with increasing mental health awareness.”

The event includes an expo featuring local health and fitness providers as well as dozens of resource tables with information about Community Reach Center programs and services, with staff available to chat with visitors about access to treatment and treatment options.

Registration, the expo and the start and finish lines will be at Community Reach Center Campus building, 1870 W. 122nd Ave., Westminster.

Festivities will include food, prizes, games and music.
