Westminster Fire Department participates in many community events to actively promote fire and life safety and to support charitable causes. The next community event is SafeKids coming up Saturday on April 12.The event will feature a variety of booths with fun activities featuring safety lessons on helmets, brain injury, burn prevention, car seats and more. The free event is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Orchards Shopping center at Interstate 25 and 144th Avenue in Westminster.
