New signage at the Larkridge Banking Center in Thornton is helping showcase Summit Bank and Trust’s transition to its new name, Centennial Bank and Trust.

Summit Bank and Trust was merged with Centennial Bank on Feb. 5 in an agreement completed by Heartland Financial USA, Inc. Under the agreement, CIC Bancshares Inc., parent company of Centennial Bank, was acquired by Heartland, merging Centennial with Summit. Today, the combined bank is operating as Centennial Bank and Trust with 17 locations across Colorado, including the Larkridge Banking Center in Thornton.

“It’s the same smiling faces here at the bank that customers are used to seeing,” said Shelley McLeod, banking center manager. “While the name is changing and the bank is sporting a new look and feel, it’s business as usual in Thornton.”
