Softball

Thornton held off Adams City 11-8 in Commerce City Sept. 13. No stats were available for either team.

Fort Lupton beat Thornton 18-1 in Colorado League play Sept. 14. No stats were available for either squad.

Thornton scored twice in the last of the seventh to beat Skyview 16-15 on the Trojans' field Sept. 16. Freshman Mia Gray singled home the winning run.

The Wolverines' Emma Long singled home the tying run in the top of the seventh, and Marina Boltz reached on an error to give Skyview a short-lived lead.

The two teams combined for 27 hits.

Long finished with three RBIs and four base hits. Boltz had four base hits and drive in two runs. Micala Almeda had three RBIs for the Trojans Gray finished with a pair of hits and two RBIs. Julianna Sandoval had a base hit and two RBIs.

Volleyball

Greeley Central downed Thornton 25-22, 25-16, 25-12 in Thornton Sept. 14. Zoey Drovdal and Alexis Tapia led GCHS with a dozen kills. Alondra Reyes Vega had six kills for THS.

Denver School of Science and Technology/Conservatory Green beat the Trojans 25-13, 25-14, 25-23 in Denver Sept. 13. Reyes Vega and Rachelle Valles had three kills for THS. Caden Cope had five kills for the Hornets.

Soccer

Thornton shut out Alameda 7-0 in Lakewood Sept. 14. No stats were available for either team.

Football

LAFAYETTE -- Centaurus shut out Thornton 27-0 on the Warriors' field Sept. 17. THS quarterback Isaiah Reece was 19-for-27 for 143 yards. Isacc Gomez caught 10 passes for 81 yards. Miles Poole ran the ball 18 times and gained 82 yards.
