Council unanimously approved the first reading of an ordinance that amend the 2014 adopted budget to reflect the acceptance of a $6,000 donation by Colorado Tree Coalition Inc. and the expenditure of that money to plant trees at the Bill Goodspeed Happy Tails Dog Park, located within Jaycee Park. The funding will provide 25 trees and the associated irrigation and planting supplies to replace the existing Russian Olives trees, which are considered noxious. The new trees are a combination of deciduous and coniferous.
